What’s something almost all idols have in common? It’s their clear, blemishless, practically translucent skin. K-Pop idols are known for their perfect skin. One of the most commonly found comments on idols’ live streams is “drop your skincare routine.” We’ve decided to round up some popular skincare brands amongst idols.
Konnect Entertainment, Mediheal
First, we have the brand Mediheal. Popular for their affordable sheet masks, Mediheal is a brand that is seen often on idol shows. One example of this is Kang Daniel on the show It’s Dangerous Beyond the Blankets. Daniel had the sheet masks in his hand when unpacking his belongings. Another example is BTS on the show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator. Long before BTS collaborated with Mediheal, the members of the groups actively used the brand’s products. The Mediheal sheet masks were seen in the skincare section of their fridge. More recently, in a video with Vogue Korea, Sunmi mentioned she uses the Mediheal A-Zero Shot Pink Dressing.
JYP Entertainment, La Roche-Posay
Known for its simple and soothing products, La Roche-Posay is another popular skincare brand amongst idols. During a V LIVE, TWICE’s Nayeon revealed that she uses the La Roche-Posay Make-Up Remover Milk. The BTS members are also avid users of this brand. Whether it’s while getting ready for the stage or on vacation in Bon Voyage, La Roche-Posay products can be seen in the background. In Season 4 of Bon Voyage, the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 can be seen on a table. Similarly, a La Roche-Posay product can be seen in the background of the NCT 127 members’ 10th floor dorm.
BigHit Entertainment, Shiseido
Last but not least, we have the brand Shiseido. The brand’s affordable SENKA line is a cult favorite across Asia and amongst idols. Somi, Kang Daniel, Stray Kids’ Seungmin, NCT’s WinWin, BTS members, and many more have been spotted using the brand’s products. Specifically the SENKA’s All Clear Cleansing Oil and SENKA’s Perfect Whip Foam. With each product being about $10 USD, we can see why so many people love it. Somi also uses the Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, a more expensive product from the brand.
Surprisingly, most of the products listed here cost less than $30 USD.
